AndroFeme®1
Clinical trials have shown that testosterone can help reduce sexual concerns and distress in postmenopausal women by improving sexual desire. AndroFeme®1 is the only registered testosterone formulation to treat HSDD for postmenopausal women.⁶

Testosterone
Testosterone levels in women peak in the mid-20s and steadily decline with age. By the time of menopause, levels typically fall to less than half of their original peak.⁶
AndroFeme® 1 is a clinically tested testosterone cream, specifically formulated for women. Each mL delivers 10 mg of bioidentical testosterone—the same type your body naturally produces.
Unlike testosterone gels designed for men—which contain much higher concentrations and use different absorption agents—AndroFeme®1 is tailored to meet the unique needs of women, reducing the risk of side effects through appropriate dosing and optimal skin absorption.

Side effects
During treatment, you may experience some side effects. Most are usually mild and temporary, but some may require medical attention. Excessive testosterone therapy can result in undesirable effects such as hair growth and acne, although this is not common when treatment is aimed at achieving testosterone levels in the female range.
Your dose should be tailored to your individual response, as too little may not provide benefit while too much may increase the chance of side effects. Regular consultations with your doctor are recommended to review progress and adjust dosing if needed.
A six-month trial is usually advised to help determine the most appropriate dose and to assess improvement in symptoms. More information can be found in the Consumer Medicine Information sheet.

AndroFeme®1 Cream
AndroFeme® 1 is a topical testosterone cream applied once daily to the skin. It uses a user-friendly applicator to deliver low, controlled doses of bioidentical testosterone—absorbed directly through the skin and into the bloodstream.
The recommended starting dose is 0.5 mL (5 mg), which may be increased to 1 mL (10 mg) daily if needed. The applicator is clearly marked in 0.25 mL increments to support precise, individualised dosing.⁴
Apply the cream to clean, dry skin on the upper outer thigh or buttock and gently massage until fully absorbed—this usually takes about 30 seconds. Always wash your hands after application and cover the area with clothing to prevent accidental skin-to-skin transfer to others.

How to get AndroFeme®1
Women interested in treatment should speak with a menopause-informed GP or specialist to determine if this treatment may be right for them.
